I need some new/different ideas for hot/warm protien shakes. I am not a coffee drinker and that makes it harder. I sometimes have the SF hot chocolate. I hope that someone here can help me out.

Thanks in advance,
Cheryl

I get the sugar free apple cider (which comes in packets and is close to the hot chocolate usually in the store) and I add protein powder to it.  Not bad at all!!

My next experiement is:  I am going to try putting some of the sugar free caramel sauce, it is on my grocery list.  I think that will be an incrediable taste!!  Like drinking a caramel apple!!

Just an idea I've not fully tested, but the sugar free apple cider is good!!

I may be the queen of hot protein drinks!  In the winter, I can hardly stand to drink something cold.  Although I love coffee, I do try other things.  I take the protein bullets and put them in celestial seasonings orange spice tea or big train chai tea with a sleeve of lemonade crystal lite.  I also do the sugar free apple cider with the sugar free caramel suace and it is incredible.  I mix up vanilla protein powder in my magic bullet with a little water, and then put it in a cup.  I them slowly add the already mixed hot cider, stirring like crazy, then add my davinchi sugar free caramel sauce to the top.  I do essentially the same thing with SF hot chocolate.  I mix skim milk and chocolate protein powder in the bullet, put it in a cup and add the hot chocolate.  I then add a pump of davinchi SF toasted marshmallow syrup.

The sugar free caramel sauce in the grocery store is gross as far as I am concerned.  I get my syrups and sauces (the unusual ones) at www.netrition.com .  They have $4.95 shipping per order no matter how much you order.  So, I load up each time.  Their prices are a little bit better than bariatriceating.com, but a little higher than Sam's Wholesale.  But, you can only get 3 or 4 flavors at Sam's.

I don't know why...  but once winter gets here, I can't stomach protein powders.  I don't want to see them, think of them, let alone mix them!  I know its psychological.  Same thing happened last year.

In the cold months, I use Labrada Lean Body Chocolate like its going out of style.  It is a little more expensive as a ready to drink compared to the powders.  It's 12 containers (17 oz each) for 39.99 at Vitamin Shoppe.

I use 4 oz of Labrada, 4 oz of Hood Calorie Countdown milk, and just heat it up in the microwave.  You have a wonderful tasting protein hot chocolate.

When it gets warm again, I'll go back to powders and my iced mochas.  Til then I've stocked up on Labrada Lean Body.

**One thing you need to be cautious of are the calories in the sugar free products.  Sometimes, they contain just as many, if not more calories, than regular sugared products.  So be mindful of this.... always read the labels.

Thanks Melinda, I have been wanting a excuse to visit the vitamin shoppe.........lol I have a coupon that runs out the end of the month. Can you buy the Labrada Lean Body individually? I hear you on the SF products, they are sneaky, you have to really read those labels.
